Jellema Construction Receives Builder of the Year Award

Bruce Jellema, owner of Jellema Construction in Alton has received the 2004 Builder of the Year Award. . Jellema Construction builds their homes with MidAmerican EnergyAdvantage which offer improved comfort and are at least 30% more energy efficient than standard code homes. Each new home Jellema Construction builds he has the home owner fill out an application and then MidAmerican Energy comes and inspects the home. All homes they build have passed the EnergyAdvantage inspection. Jellema Construction began as Quality Construction in 1977. In the early years, the business involved completing numerous construction, remodeling, and concrete jobs. The remodeling of homes expanded into new home construction. In 1998, Jellema Construction moved into their present facility at 109 11th Street in Alton. Bruce’s motto of “Complete Customer Satisfaction” has been and continues to be the cornerstone of his business.
